My own life experiences have led me to become a therapist. Throughout my journey, I have become passionate about figuring out how to make sense of relationships and help other people feel happy and satisfied with their partner.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends…going to the beach, movies, and on vacation! I have two cats Sassy and Buzi who I have a love/hate relationship with. I also really enjoy watching most comedy movies because I love to laugh.
My Background
I have earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC #49853). I have worked in the mental health field for over 9 years helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families to cope with a variety of struggles including: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, acculturation, disordered eating, domestic violence, familial issues, suicidal ideation, substance use, insomnia, divorce, grief, anger management and many more.
Education:
- 2000-2004 University of San Diego , B.A. in Psychology and Spanish
- 2006-2008 Alliant International University, M.A. in Marital and Family Therapy
- 2008-Present Completing Doctoral Degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Marital and Family Therapy
